Day 01.- Iquitos in – Lodge – Trekking – Night Walk
Pacaya Samiria - Jungle of the MirrorsWelcome and reception in the international airport of Iquitos. Transfer to the port of Bellavista, located on the banks of the Nanay River where we will undertake a fast boat to start our trip through the Amazon River toward the Lodge. During this trip of approximately 1hr 15min we will be able to enjoy the forest landscape and the picturesque little houses of the towns. At arrival we will have a warm reception with a soft drink of fresh fruit. We will get comfortable in our rooms and enjoy a delicious lunch. After a well deserved rest we will initiate a walk in the primary forest of the communal reserve of Yanamono, accompanied by expert guides. Along our way, we will be able to identify botanic species, like gigantic and medicinal plants trees as the Lupuna (kapok tree Pentandra), to listen to different species of birds and if we are lucky we will be able to observe monkeys. Return to the Lodge and rest. After contemplating the beautiful Amazon sunset, we will initiate an interesting nocturnal walk in boat by the Quebradas that will delight us with the magical sounds of the Forest. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 02.- Bird watching – Native Village – Ayahuasca Ritual
Heron in Pacaya SamiriaEarly in the morning we will enjoy a bird watching tour and during it we can also contemplate the impressive Victorias Regias (water lilies) in the lagoons located inside the Yanamono Island. After enjoying this morning spectacle we will return to the lodge and have our breakfast. After a brief rest, we will initiate a visit to a native village where we will have the opportunity to share brief moments with them and to know their culture and customs. Continuing with our excursion, we will visit a mill craft where we will taste the different regional beverages with the juice of the cane of sugar. Return to the lodge. Lunch. In the afternoon, it is time for us to go fishing in the Amazon river; and while fishing we might observe the timid pink dolphins. After this relaxing afternoon we will return to the lodge and enjoy our dinner (The people that will be part of the Ayahuasca ritual will eat a special diet).
At 10.00pm the ritual of the Ayahuasca will start in a place that was specially conditioned for the event. The ritual can last to the dawn depending on the number of people. Overnight.

Day 03.- Village – Excursion to the Tahuampas – Ayahuasca Ritual
Canoes TripBreakfast. On time indicated we will initiate a visit to a village near the river with the possibility to have a camping type lunch with the settlers to know their customs and traditions. After that we will return to the Lodge and rest. In the afternoon we will be doing a walk to the tahuampas, a flooded forest, in canoes for about an hour. Dinner. The people that will be part of the Ayahuasca ritual will eat a special diet).
At 10.00pm the ritual of the Ayahuasca will start in a place that was specially conditioned for the event. The ritual can last to the dawn depending on the number of people. Overnight.

Day 04.- Iquitos out
Breakfast. At an appropriate time, transfer to Iquitos to get the flight back to the city of Lima.

Important:
The ceremony starts at 10.00pm and is directed by the shaman, who sits down next to the assistants in a circular form. The shaman begins the ceremony ICARANDO (smoking and blowing) the concoction with smoke of Capacho, requesting the permission of god and the spirits of the plants. The effect of the hallucinogenic concoction is produced among the 20 to 30 minutes after we consume the liquid. The trance lasts an average of 2 ½ to 3hrs.
