Huancayo and the Huaytapallana: 4 days, 3 nights

Day 01.- Junín in – City Tour
Huancayo's CathedralTransfer to the Hotel. The tour will start in the Constitution Square, and as a first stop we will visit the Hill of the Liberty (lookout of Huancayo, the zoo and the recreational complex). Then we will go to Torre Torre, which consists of many geological formations that with the time have acquired different forms given by the nature. Continuing with our visit we will arrive at the Identity Wanca Park, which a synthesis of the Wanca Civilization and it was built based on stones extracted of the main rivers of the Mantaro Valley. We will finish the trip in Cochas, where we will find the artisans that create the world-famous matt engraved, here we can appreciate the pirograbado. Return to the Hotel. Overnight.

Day 02.- Artisan Circuit
Ocopa's LibraryWe start our trip in the eastern area of Huancayo through the towns of Uñas and Vilcacoto thus arriving at Cochas Chicos where we will see the very beautiful matt engraved handicrafts and appreciate its manufacturing techniques, the famous pirograbado where they express the experiences of its community. Along our way we will be also able to observe very beautiful landscapes; continuing with the tour we will arrive at Hualhuas where the beautiful work in wool of alpaca can be appreciated, we will pass by the factory to observe all the sequence of the production process of the weaving and we will be able to acquire some of these amazing and typical products. After a while, we will visit the town named Quilcas, where we will observe works in ceramics; later the visit to Ingenio will take place and here we will enjoy a delicious dish of trout. One of the highlights of today’s tour is certainly the famous Convent of Saint Rose of Ocopa which is a very famous missionary center, once here we will visit his diverse cloisters that enclose a lot of Franciscan history. Finally, we will arrive at San Jerónimo of Tunán, land of silversmiths where the work of the watermark is all an art inherited of the famous Catalina Huanta, Return to Huancayo. Overnight.

Day 03.- Archaeological Circuit
ArwaturoAfter breakfast, at a previously indicated time, we set off on yet another excursion through the Mantaro’s Valley, at first we will arrive at the heroic province of Chupaca where we will visit the main plaza, distinguished by its form that represents the typical dance of the zone "The Shapis", as well as the lookout. Later on our way we will reach the district of Ahuac once here we will ascent by some stairs toward the top of a small hill where we will find the archaeological remainders of Arwaturo. From this point we can enjoy a panoramic view of the valley and also of the lagoon of Ñahuinpuquio, afterwards we will descend and we will go sailing. Later on we will arrive at Chongos Bajo where we will visit its main Church, CANI Cross, cross carved in stone, and also the Chapel of Copon (1534) remainders of the era of the Holy Inquisition, finishing the trip in the archaeological Temple of Warivilca genesis of the Wanca Civilization, the museum and the spring of the fidelity. Return to Huancayo. Overnight.

Day 04.- Huaytapallana Circuit
HuaytapallanaAfter breakfast we set off for an adventure thought the mystical snowed of Huaytapallana, whose base is at a height of 4800masl and the peak at 5557masl, initiating our ascent with a stop in the town of Vilcacoto where we will observe the face of the laya (shaman) which is outlined in a mountain. Continuing our ascent, we will arrive at the town of Acopalca, a very important place in the decade of the 70s; we will be able to appreciate the change of climates and the diverse Ecological flats, and notice that each one of them encloses a various rich and different flora and fauna. Eventually, we will arrive at the highest point where we will find the virgin of the snows, later we continue our trip for about 40 minutes appreciating this beautiful snow-covered mountain. Finally, on the top, we will be able enjoy a time playing with the ice and snow. In the course of our staying there, we will do a walk of 50 minutes flanking a lagoon whose water of greenish color is a real spectacle that delights the view and are amazing to the eyes of the observers. After this adventure we will return to the City of Huancayo.
