One of the most beautiful places of Peru is The Colca Canyon in Arequipa. It is one of the deepest of the world (reportedly twice as deep as the Grand Canyon in the USA)and it preserves natural landscapes, flora and fauna and the customs, rituals and way of living of their inhabitants.

Access now is usually from Arequipa (The second big city in Peru) from Arequipa you can start traveling to The Colca Canyon. The first village to encounter is Chivay. It is the heart of the Canyon. You can find there Restaurants, Hotels and activity. From Chivay the next village is Cabanaconde.

Cabanaconde is a very quite place. It is perfect for relaxing. It is also perfect for just stay there and enjoy the landscape, also you can see the people, that mostly speak Quechua, in their typical Costumes. People that only dedicates to farming and livestock.

One of the hot points is the Condor Lookout "Cruz del Condor". The highest place of the Canyon. Where you can see the majestic fly of the Condor. You'll want to be there early to see the condors in flight. In fact watching them is an unforgettable experience. The Condor is a bird of prey natural from the Andes and it is like a symbol for all Peruvians from Coast, through Highlands till Jungle.

Another hot spots are the "La Calera" hot springs at Chivay are a wonderful way to relax after the day of touring.
